How about NO MRGO period!!  Just saw on WWL website that talks going on
between St. Bernard and the Port of New Orleans about possible floodgates on
the MRGO.  Well...that dog won't hunt.
 
MRGO needs to be closed; silted up - period.

During the great flood of 1927 NOLA wanted to blow the levee at Canarvon
(sp?) and promised St. Bernard it would pay for damages, etc. and this was
to ease the strain on the N.O. levees. Naturally after the levee was blown,
NOLA backed out of all promises.  The Port of NO is not interested in the
safety of St. Berna rd residents; they are interested in commerce for the
Port of New Orleans.  They ain't on our sides folks.
