I understand the need for the parish to make significant budget cuts.  I
also agree with the suggestion that the "companies" placing signs on the
parish neutral grounds should be required to identify their tax id numbers
and if they are outside of the parish, should pay a reasonable permit fee to
post such signs. 
 
It was noted that the budget for fixed assets would be increased
significantly due to federal funding for rebuilding.  I would like to ask
that we provided with the number of deputies serving the parish today, and
what number is planned for 2006, as well as what will be the locations of
the sub-stations?  I believe that having this information will either put
everyone at ease, or cause them concern. Either way, we should know the true
picture. 
 
I applaud the deputies who have sacrificied so much for all our us, and hope
that all will be retained, or asked to return.
