JR also has used his cane as a gavel. In October when Senator Boasso held a
sub committee meeting in the government complex which was confused as being
a scheduled town hall meeting, JR started beating his cane on the table very
hard and loud. Not once but several times to attempt to quiet the audiance.
Finally Joey Difatta came to the rescue and calmed down the crowd which
stopped JR from behaving very unprofessional.  Fortunately for St. Bernard
that morning the TV stations in attendance had enough sense not to televise
his actions.
