[StBernard] Stinky/mud stained clothes

Cindy, after trying all the soaking methods suggested, put the items out to
dry in the fresh air and let the sun dry it. In my case, many smelly
mattresses from toddlers' urine has been saved this way. I also did this
with one of my daughter's favorite sweaters that got wet from the flood in
my mother's attic. The sweater wasn't too bad to begin with---towards the
top of the box where the water wicked up through all the clothes, but it was
smell free after letting it dry in the sun. Good Luck!

Try bakensoda (Walmart sells a big box for $1.97 use it all- in the
laundry section) in the wash but before washing, soak in a bucket of
downy
and bakensoda with water for about three days...I didn't iron some
of this
stuff, but the smell is gone for now
