Wendy,

You just need to be on one of the lists by March 31.  After that, the parish
will begin looking at homes to see which are abandoned and which are not.
Those that are abandoned will be considered a blighted property and the
applicable fines, etc. will be posted against the homeowner.

  I got a call today from a neighbor and they told me if houses aren't
gutted by March ? then they would be bulldozed down. Now I signed up for
free gutting from habitat for humanity and have not heard anything yet. I
have no idea where I am on this list. If we are on the mysterious list are
we exempt? Do we have any idea when this will start. I had plans to go down
and do my home and the next three- I figure if we all do that more could get
done. Any info would be greatly appreciated as always.
