I agree Gaby.  I am reading some respones that are ridiculous and scary
regarding there homes.

Although I understand your pain of the prospect of gutting and cleaning, the
'why' is 'because' it is YOUR property and it is blighted and a hazard to
the community. It is still the owner's responsibility to either clean it or
get rid of it.
I strongly hope that you listed yours for demolition if you dont want to
have it cleaned. 
Not meaning to offend anyone, knowing the emotional pain of trashing it, it
is still the responsible thing to do. One does not just leave one's trash
for others to deal with. Got to be blunt here. That is just like leaving
dirty diapers in a park. Offensive.
