Dianne,

You don't need to have any windows or doors installed by June 1st.  You just
need to either have gutted your home, signed up for free gutting, signed up
for demo, or send a letter to the Office of Community Development telling
them you will gut the house yourself by June 1st.

The parish is just trying to get a status update of homes by June 1st.  They
realize not everyone had a chance to gut or are still waiting on the free
gutting, but they do want to know what your intentions are.

What do we in Buccaneer North do, if June 1st is a deadline for having doors
and windows in our property?   I do not intend to spend money to do that
unless I would be assured that it would not be in the mitigation area and
would remain property as it is.  If we put money in it we would never get it
back, its bad enough that the insurance companies, FEMA and SBA are giving
people problems much less the PARISH telling us to do work if they know it
will be green space or something else.  Please reply.
