Dave.
..ah, you spoke with mighty wisdom o' Saheeb...Hey, I ought to give up the
pen and put you in immediate charge of irritation <G>... Funny, how when
something bothers us, we look to our local leadership for answers. Do you
think anyone's buzzing in JR's ear - ..the direction of St. Bernard's fate?
<G> Imagine, trying to board up our homes before our "heaven's angels" help
us gut our homes (or Murphy deciding to cleanse, or perhaps insurance
companies, FEMA,etc. STILL inspecting properties for the first time or
appeals, etc...

Indecisions, indecisions...

Craig,
You spoke of homeowners making known their intentions regarding their
property. If homeowners have submitted the Debris and Hazard Removal forms
but the debris and hazardous materials are still on the property, will the
responsibility fall back on the owners?
There may be broken doors and/or windows on the property not caused by
Katrina or rescuers, but by vandals. There are incidences of doors being
stolen from homes. Not everyone can make regular trips to the parish to
check on the condition of their homes.
I don't like the idea of people like Junior Rodriguez and others making
decisions about our homes which may negatively impact the rest of our lives.
I know there must be laws regarding reasonable care of one's property. But
Nostradamus didn't write these laws so I'm sure there is no reference to
Katrina.
Thanks,
David Jochum
