The idiotic process by Cox about the cable boxes was this:

They requested that we complete the damaged cable box form. I tried to fax
it, but their fax number was inoperative.  I suppose that I'll have to mail
it in and hope they get it.

Carol, What are they charging you for your old cable box or something? We
told Cox they could find it in the scrapyheap out front. What about Direct
TV as an option? I like Time-Warner here in MS; very quick and polite.
Anyway, our Entergy bill for July 2005 was quadroupled and we were on
vacation for 2 weeks too! They insisted WE must have an insulation problem
(which is bull) and I said I wanted a new meter. It was too much to keep
fighing with them after Katrina, but now we have a brand new meter and am
keeping our own reading records. Mudpie
