I did not benefit from anything...I was one street over from Murphy's map
and I clearly had oil...it was everywhere...so I didn't benefit from Murphy
or Torres. I chose to opt out, get my property tested and it was
POSITIVE...and Torres does not deserve and did not earn my 7%.

I have seen emails from people about the 7% withheld from people on
settlement with Murphy Oil.  I lived in the original spill area and one of
my neighbors settled about 2 weeks ago.  No monies were withheld from the
settlement.  They were told that the 7% was only withheld from people in the
area that the judge added to the class action.  Those people benefited from
Torres' lawsuit as they would not have been included by Murphy.
