[StBernard] Returning Residents Listings - endangerment

It is IMHO that the parish does NOT need a listing of returning residents.
If anything, it was established to promote or create a propaganda situation
of instilling self-confidence and another band-wagon effect at the expense
of others.

In today's real-world situation, identity theft, harrassment, obscene calls,
starkers, nightly bothersome call lists and advertisment abusers, or
whomever wants to enjoy a "field day" with your information, I believe it
would be more of a hindrance to success than otherwise.

I can think of one reason for having it, and a dozen for a chance to abuse
someone's privacy.

For whatever it's worth, I would not recommend having such a personal list
of info about me or suggest others to participate in "social distress" by
keeping info that could cause more problems than not.

I certainly would not have placed it on the parish's website because of the
nature of the beast it arouses. There's enough info on it to cause an info
hacker to have his way with anyone. If I'm wrong about what I've outlined,
please correct me fully. I can take critiques, especially if I feel strongly
about an issue that's instrumental in harming one's life. Thanks!
