[StBernard] Flood Insurance Settlement Checks

Has anyone had their FPIP (Flood Insurance) Settlement Checks bounced after
any deposit/cashing (for any reason)? 

Since there was no "expiry date" on the payoffs, one was led to believe that
no problem would exist during the year before the 1st anniversary of Katrina
if checks were not cashed immediately. If so, what is the solution to
getting "good payment" for bouncing ehecks submitted?
