A Note from the Editor-In-Chief of LouisianaRebuilds.info 

As Louisianans move towards the first anniversaries of Katrina and Rita,
federal money, state rebuilding programs and volunteer help still are moving
towards Louisiana to help recover from last year's twin disasters. Progress
is being made on many fronts. Over the last month Congress has funded
billions of dollars for The Road Home recovery program, has pre-registered
over 85,000 person for the program, secured 100 percent funding of its
projected goal, developed pattern plans for housing, and now is beginning to
develop a possible renters' aid component slated for sometime at the end of
the summer. 

We at Louisiana Rebuilds.Info also continue to develop and grow as we move
form a small staff in New Orleans to a larger staff that is focusing across
the coastal region. As the portal grows, expect designers to help you find
information faster with better navigation and clearer topics. Expect us to
each day add another bit of helpful news to the growing list of recovery
information.
