[StBernard] Adviser: State Sen. Boasso sure to run for governor

I'll try not to play politics against two young and energized conservatives
who have chosen to run at this point. However, many of us know both are two
good men who have two good chances to win--on two separate years, however!

IMHO, this was NOT the time for Mr. Boasso to enter the race vs. Blanco. Mr.
Jindel has an excellent chance to win with his support in LA., while Mr.
Boasso's decision will probably cause a dilution of the votes as mentioned
by JLY. Thus, an Ego should not play into the plans for our state to become
stronger. What is Mr. Boasso thinking? Conservatives in LA should work
together as in the Republican National Convention to elect ONE strong leader
with an excellent chance to win and thus pit vs. the opposition.

So, not to politicize, but to use strategy, Mr. Jindel probably stands a
better chance statewide, then simply picking a 'homie" from St. Bernard
Parish who would fare good there in a "won battle", in contrast to "losing
the war", perhaps. This is where the common sense applies.

Oh damn! I hate to hear this. I would hate to see the Republican vote
divided and possibly Blanco get in the back door. Since I'm a registered
Democrat I'm not thinking of the good of the Republican party, but rather,
the good of the state!
