This is great for people with computers and the time to use them
efficiently.

We have already had the benefit of real time, real purpose interaction (as
you put it) through this list serve and it has been a very valuable source
of reliable information.
 
The drawback is there is no substitute for door to door canvassing, or
interaction at community gatherings or resident's neighborhood meetings.
