Why are we not surprised that birds of a feather will flock together? It's
no doubt that once Mr. Boasso jumped ship to the liberal party that white
and black liberals will flock around him like $tink on $hit <g>.
BTW, is that a "black power symbol" Mr. Mayo is displaying from the podium?
If this is true, perhaps Mr. Boasso should distance himself away from anyone
with these tones?

Monroe, LA: Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo today endorsed Senator Walter Boasso
(D-Arabi), Democratic candidate for Governor, saying Boasso is the only
candidate who has the commitment and plans able to solve Louisiana's "big
challenges."
"Walter Boasso is all about helping people," Mayor Mayo said. "As governor,
Walter will be the kind of leader this state needs to solve our big
challenges."
"Boasso looks at the consequences of policy decisions on human terms, not
just as mere statistics," Mayo said. "And that matters most to the people
of Monroe. Whether it's covering people with health care, creating jobs or
ensuring our children have the education they deserve, Walter Boasso will
always be on the side of the people."
"I'm honored to gain the endorsement of one of Louisiana's true leaders,"
Boasso said. "Mayor Mayo and I share a background in business and we've
both created jobs in the private sector. The Mayor has taken a lead in
helping create jobs for Monroe and the entire Monroe region. He is
innovate, creative and full of compassion."
Mayor Mayo endorsed Sen. Boasso during Boasso's stop in Monroe today in
which Boasso proposed a plan to provide affordable, quality health care to
Louisiana families.
Jamie Mayo was first elected Mayor of Monroe in October 2001. He is a
graduate of Bastrop High School and the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Mayor Mayo has more than 20 years of business experience in the private
sector.
