One of the funniest, and honest, responses I ever heard by a political
candidate was from Walter Boasso during his senate race in 2003. When asked
how he felt about gambling casinos, Walter replied..."it depends whether I'm
inside the casino or outside."

I look for the irony in the last days of political campaings. Here's one I
heard today about a candidate for governor. One of the excerpts from the
radio commercial that stresses what a common, regular guy candidate X is,
includes this gem, "he gets NASCAR". What's not to get about NASCAR? It's
always rrrrrrrrrrrrrLEFT TURN, rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrLEFT TURN,
rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrLEFT TURN! Don't worry, this candidate is low in
the polls and no one believes he is a regular guy. ddk
