Gaby, as Ms. Keller said, it's in the hands of the Council now.

For those folks who are against this, whether they live in that area or not,
they should be contacting their current council member to let them know how
they feel.

For the Council members who are not returning, it may not affect their vote
on this issue. But for those who were reelected, or moved to another
office, they need to know that a "yes" vote on this will have consequences
from the electorate.

Oh I agree with the below pasted statement.
I do think a 'truck stop' will upset more than just the direct
neighbors.
Those who returned to the parish and are active in rebuilding it,
need to
voice their opinion on this.
I ask myself WHY I went through this recovery for living here....
If it would have been a gambling parish, I probably would have
embraced the
opportunity to move somewhere else NICE.
So folks, WHY did you come back? What do we want OUR parish to be
like? I am
interested to hear, because if St Bernadians are happy with a truck
stop in
the middle of our beautiful nature setting, then so be it (although
that
might change future individual plans).

No matter what revenue share and sales tax, the integrity of that
area's
character needs to be preserved. Our Neighborhoods are not for
sale.

Gaby
