True, but that so called explanation was not given by the network until
several years later.  At the time it happened the network gave some other
bogus reason.

While this story is verified on Snopes, if you actually read the entry
you'll see it was from October 2001 and was done in large part to protect
reporters working overseas from harm. This has absolutely no relevance to
the issues facing our country today.
