[StBernard] The Democrats' Favorite Holiday

Dear Supporter - 

 

Ask anyone about their favorite holiday and you'll likely hear about
Christmas morn with presents under the tree, Thanksgiving with turkey and
gravy and maybe even Mardi Gras.  Ask a tax-and-spend liberal Democrat and
he just might say April 15th.

 

Ronald Reagan once said that "Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of
July, but Democrats believe every day is April 15th", so today we say Happy
Tax-Day to our friends in the Democrat Party.  We hope you enjoy today as
much we know you'll enjoy spending the hard earned income of American
taxpayers.

 

Today, conservatives across our great nation have organized a true
grassroots movement in the form of Tax Day Tea Parties to protest the
reckless and out of control spending by Democrats in our nation's capital.
We thank them for standing up and making their voices heard.  They
understand that the best way to grow our economy is lower taxes and that
today's irresponsible spending saddles future generations with debt.  We're
proud to see so many of them exercise their right to civil engagement and
send a message to our nation's leadership that we've had enough.

 

In Louisiana we're lucky to have a Governor who has cut our taxes and
pledged government efficiency and budgetary restraint over tax increases.
His style of conservative reform allows Louisiana's entrepreneurial spirit
to flourish and our economy to grow.

 

As citizens across Louisiana file their taxes today we hope they'll remember
which party is looking out for them:  The Republican Party.
