[StBernard] St. Bernard Parish employees forced to buy at Wal-Mart?

I spoke with Craig this morning and he says at no time was anyone told they
had to go buy something from WalMart.
In an effort to show support for WalMart reopening, parish employees were
allowed to "flex their schedule" either in the morning or at lunch time, by
punching in an hour later, with the understanding that they would use that
hour to visit WalMart, not necessarily to purchase anything.
Since he was a councilman at the time and not parish president, Craig cannot
say if the same option was given to employees when Winn-Dixie opened, but he
did say that himself and three other councilmen did volunteer their time to
assist Winn-Dixie in reopening ahead of schedule and helping to draw
customers into the store when it did open.
