Free BP Claim filing assistance

Free health screenings and counseling services



The Southeast Louisiana Fisheries Assistance Center (FAC) is working in
conjunction with Seedco Financial Services in providing free emergency claim
preparation services for those impacted by the BP oil spill. These services
are being provided in coordination with the Louisiana Department of Child
and Family Services. FAC and Seedco are able to provide comprehensive
assistance in gathering documentation, filling out needed forms, and
navigating the claims process for those in St. Bernard Parish. They are
available to assist with the 6-month emergency claim process and the final
claim process. The deadline to submit claim paperwork to the Gulf Coast
Claims Center for the emergency claim is November 23rd.



The FAC is conveniently located next to the Belle Chasse ferry at 212 Ave. G
in Belle Chasse. They are open Monday thru Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Please call the FAC at 504-392-2454 beforehand to ensure you are prepared
with all of the documentation needed to properly file your claim.



Seedco Financial will also be hosting free information sessions regarding
the BP claims process. These information sessions will cover eligibility
requirements and program guidelines. The sessions will take place at 10:00am
on Tuesday October 19th, Thursday October 21st, Tuesday October 26th and
Thursday October 28th.



Starting on Oct. 19, 2010 St. Anna's Medical Mission will be working with
Seedco Financial on Tuesdays to provide free basic health screening and
stress and anxiety counseling services for those affected by the BP oil
spill. These screenings are being offered out of St. Anna's Medical
Mission's mobile unit on Tuesdays at the FAC at 212 Ave. G in Belle Chasse.
The screenings will take place from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
