Early voting continues at St. Bernard Parish Registrar of Voters Nov. 9, 10
and 12 for the Nov. 19 election

Any registered voter can cast a ballot from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. during early
voting

Office closed on Friday in observance of Veterans Day



St. Bernard Parish Registrar of Voters Velma Bourg said early voting will
continue this week on November 9, 10 and 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the
Registrar of Voters Office at 8201 West Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette. Any
registered voter may cast a ballot during the early voting period, but they
must have a photo id.



Additionally, the state allows for certain people to vote by absentee
ballot, such as senior citizens, people with certain disabilities and
students who attend are attending college out of town. Additionally,
deployed military personnel may also get an absentee ballot that will be
mailed to them. Such citizens must call the office to request a form.



No signs of electioneering, such as shirts or pins, are allowed inside and
within 600 feet of the polling place.
