NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Casting agents are looking for New Orleans-area football
players to take part in "When the Game Stands Tall."
Producers and coach Allan Graf, from "Friday Night Lights," are looking for
male football players of all ethnicities between the ages of 18 and 28.
Current collegiate players are not eligible.
WWL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/YhOyws ) interviews will be Monday and Tuesday
at Chalmette High School from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The film is a true story about the De La Salle Spartans, of Concord, Calif.,
and its coach, Bob Ladouceur, who turned the perennial losers into a legend
by launching a streak of 151 straight wins.
Filming begins in mid-April for an eight-week shoot.
The film's director is Thomas Carter II, who directed "Coach Carter" and
"Save the Last Dance."
